The Opportunity:

We provide assistance in identifying risk areas and sustainable planning opportunities for indirect taxes throughout the tax life cycle, helping clients meet compliance obligations and business goals around the world.

As a Manager - Tax at EY Ford Rhodes, you will help leading organizations to identify risk areas and sustainable planning opportunities for direct taxes throughout the tax life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely tax compliance of assigned clients with the tax authorities;
  • Assistance in responding to tax notices including factual analysis etc.;
  • Ensure proper compliance of all notices of assigned clients;
  • Preparation and filing of annual income tax returns;
  • Preparation of appeals to the various appellate forums;
  • Analysis and preparation of records for the purpose of tax audits;
  • Deal with the tax authorities and clients as per engagement terms;
  • Develop co-operation and excellent working interfaces with the clients;
  • Advising clients on international tax operations, including cross-border controversy;
  • Delivery multiple projects with a high level of efficiency and quality;
  • Drafting detailed opinions on various provisions of the law, and guiding clients on the same;
  • Cross border transaction and analysis including inter and intra group payments. Group structure reorganization and / or rationalization;
  • Research and analysis of existing/prospective tax and related legislation;
  • Tax modelling over financial forecasting, budgets, and projections;
  • Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress;
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel; and
  • Build long-lasting relationships with our clients;
  • Any other tasks assigned by the firm.

Your Profile:

  • CA/ACCA Qualified with 3-5 years of relevant experience;
  • LLB/LLM with at least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience;
  • Since you are client oriented, it is necessary to have excellent communication skills: you are not afraid to call things into question and are able to give presentations confidently;
  • You are a team player and have great coaching skills;
  • You have an interest in looking for innovative solutions.
  • Good understanding of tax laws;
  • Good command over MS Excel –can use formulas and comfortable with computations.
  • Good command over MS Word and MS Power point.
