The Finance Manager's role will be to plan, execute and report accounting and finance activities within the company. This is the number one role in finance within the UK, reporting into the MD.
Client Details
The client are a UK arm of a large French listed business based in Milton Park, just outside of Abingdon. They are a leading European distributor of polymer raw materials. It has an international network and is a partner to many of the world's largest polymer producers. Serving a wide range of industries including; packaging, healthcare, electrical & electronic, construction, automotive and cosmetics, the company has an established presence in the market and is now entering a phase of growth that requires a new Finance Manager.
Description
The Finance Manager's key responsibilities are:
- Oversee General accounting operations
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts FRS102, Corporation Tax Return
- Relationship management with banking providers
- Prepare budget and cashflow forecasts
- Compile and report financial statements
- Complete monthly and bi-annual closings
- Reconciling Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Stock/Good Received Not Invoiced
- Prepare required revenue and tax returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax
- Experience of Import/Export Transactions
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Relationship management with appointed auditors
- Payroll preparation
- Bank Reconciliations, including currencies and revaluations
- Company Secretarial Duties
- Report to the head office in Paris
Profile
The successful Finance Manager will be:
- French-speaking an advantage but not necessary
- Ability to work in a demanding and deadline-driven environment
- Good internal and external relationship skills
- Excellent knowledge of the local legislations
- ERP system knowledge (Microsoft Navision and SAP preferable)
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Prepared to involve themselves in all aspects of the business
- Ability to self-start and self- manage - prioritising workload and time management
- Team player
Job Offer
On offer for the successful candidate will be a salary of between £55,000 and £60,000 depending on experience, alongside an extensive benefits package which will be disclosed upon application.
