Roles:

Financial Accounting and Reporting

Responsible for financial accounting matters including:

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial close.
  • Annual statutory audit.
  • Periodic reporting to various stakeholders.
  • Support tax department on tax audit or investigation.

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial close to ensure smooth month end closing process and meet reporting timelines.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements including group consolidation, to ensure accurate financials by applying appropriate accounting principles and standards, Companies Act, pronouncement, etc., and aligning to internal management direction or decision and group reporting direction and requirement.
  • Daily operations of business finance.
  • Prepare information requested by Group Tax in order to complete tax computation or tax audit/investigation to ensure proper and sufficient information are provided to address tax matters.
  • Prepare monthly inter-company charging or billing in accordance with proper documentation and computation.
  • Working closely with external auditors, effective communication with all involved parties and ensuring timely resolution of audit issues.
  • Assist in establishing appropriate accounting policies, processes and procedures.
  • Assist in optimising the finance operational functions to support the business.
  • Assist in process optimisation exercise to improve reporting functions.
  • Assist in preparation of statistical report or information required to meet statutory and regulatory reporting obligations and requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of management and board papers on any matters as and when required to ensure adequate information is communicated to management and board for decision making and proper approval is sought.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification in accountancy and/or finance (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, etc.) or finalist of professional qualification.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Sound knowledge on International/Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/MFRSs).
  • Staying abreast of changes of legislations and industry practices regarding financial standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications and SAP system.
  • Good communication and writing skill. Able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • A team player with initiative.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills.
