Financial Accountant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of high-quality financial reporting services on schedule.

Client Details

Our client is a Housing Association with over 100 local authority regions in England. They offer inexpensive home ownership choices as well as residences that may be purchased outright on the open market, realising that the country's housing scarcity impacts those looking to buy a home as well.

Description

  • Prepare consolidated and individual statutory accounts in accordance with agreed-upon time frames and requirements.
  • Keep abreast of accounting standards and regulations to ensure that statutory accounts are completed correctly and to a high degree within agreed-upon time frames.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files for Group businesses and assist the Financial Accounting team in delivering year-end accounts on time. Day-to-day engagement with external audit, including fast responses to questions presented during the financial audit process.
  • Assist in the completion and submission of regulatory returns within the time frames specified.
  • Prepare tax returns such as VAT, Corporation tax, and Employment taxes, as well as assist in understanding the tax implications of business choices.
  • Deliver financial accounting tasks on time and prepare ad hoc requests for analysis. Keep an asset and liability register.
  • Control the inter-company reconciliation procedure and the reporting schedule.
  • Improve financial reporting and provide an efficient and effective service to internal and external clients by expanding the usage of finance systems.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and forecasting to assist the firm in making successful and informed decisions.

Profile

  • Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA or equivalent.
  • Recent statutory financial reporting and audit experience in a practise or industry function.
  • Excellent attention to detail, as well as the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload to fulfil agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Experience examining and assessing financial data, as well as reporting on findings.

Job Offer

  • £55,000 - £60,000 per annum.
  • 2 days in the office.
  • 10% end of year performance bonus.
