The Financial Accountant Intern is responsible for supporting the financial accounting activities within the organization. This role offers a valuable opportunity for individuals who are pursuing a career in accounting or finance to gain practical experience in a professional setting. The intern will work closely with the finance team and receive guidance from senior accountants to develop their skills and knowledge in financial accounting.

About Your Future Team
The Financial Accountant Intern is responsible for supporting the financial accounting activities within the organization. The intern will work closely with the finance team and receive guidance from senior accountants to develop their skills and knowledge in financial accounting.
Your Role
- Assist in financial data entry and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Help with the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, assisting in reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions by verifying invoices, processing payments, and tracking outstanding balances.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering relevant financial information and assisting in the preparation of financial models.
- Contribute to the maintenance of internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Conduct research on accounting standards and regulations to ensure adherence and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and assist in financial analysis projects.
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support external auditors during the audit process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial accounting, sharing relevant knowledge with the team.

- Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software, SAP S/4HANA is a strong plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- English Language is needed, however ability to speak German is a plus.
- Previous experience or coursework in financial accounting is a plus.
