About the Opportunity
  • Collaborating closely with internal leaders to build an intimate understanding of the business and ongoing activities occurring across different functional units
  • Develop driver-based models and annual budgeting processes, updating on a quarterly basis for forecasting purposes for use across all CBP operating units
  • Ensure critical initiatives are reflected and aligned with the performance goals for both individual business units and CBP as a whole
  • Assist in the development of budget and forecast reporting packages with respect to revenue, operating expense, and capital expenses
  • Research, review, analyse and explain practical cause and effect relationships when assessing the feasibility of CBP central initiatives
  • Provide meaningful and insightful recommendations leading to sound balanced decision making within CBP
  • Actively involved in RFP evaluations for capital and operational expense contracts ensuring value for money
  • Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, presenting scenario analysis and financial stress testing for contingency planning with respect to economic shocks (including labour disruptions) and assessing potential financial impact to CBP operations and business performance
  • Present monthly and quarterly operational and financial results (including capital spend) to business leaders across CBP and communicate how it relates to achieving the goals and objectives
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of financial and operational data being reported
  • Develop and supervise business and financial performance measurements, monitoring trends and providing analysis to management and suggestions for course corrections where vital
  • Support the development of tools and templates to help facilitate the data/information gathering and analysis process
  • Manage information systems for reporting with responsibility for ensuring the integrity of data and troubleshooting system deficiencies
  • Provide revenue management support with respect to pricing, yield management, margin improvement and promotional initiatives
  • Coordinate and be responsible for work performed by other business divisions or finance personnel if/when project work is led outside this role
  • Support and fill in for the Manager, Business Planning and Analysis CBP as needed
  • Assist in the oversight of the continuous improvement initiatives, where applicable
  • Assist in educating and holding CBP team members accountable with respect to financial policies, processes, procedures, and deliverables
  • Translate complex financial modelling outcomes to business owners, explaining impact/application to their operation
  • Prepare and perform analysis and benchmarking, creating reports and presentations to explain industry trends and the impact on CBP short and long-term business plans
  • Offer mentorship to CBP team members on the company's policy and procedures, connecting them to the internal point of contact where necessary
About You
  • CPA, CFA completed or in-progress
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience in financial analysis, statistical analysis, financial reporting, financial accounting, and corporate finance or in a similar role is required
  • Experience coming from Retail, CPG, or Commercial Real Estate
  • Proven experience working with Financial ERP reporting systems such as Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase, Workday Adaptive
  • Acquire and retain Transportation Security Clearance at the designated level for the position
Salary Range
$95,000-$100,000/year
