WHAT TO EXPECT
The Investor Relations & Funding team manages the relationship and communications between JLR and its bond investors while also taking the lead on raising external funding, typically through loans from banks or by issuing new bonds.
Within this team you will take the lead on assessing new funding opportunities for the business with a focus on new complex, structured transactions that will underpin our Reimagine strategy and future sales model. Delivery of these new funding structures will require significant cross functional working including with our Commercial and Financial Services team members to deliver operational solutions alongside funding the business.
You will also have the opportunity to support the business on other funding and capital structure related matters including external debt issuance and managing the capital structure of overseas subsidiaries.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate with commercial banks to identify potential funding transactions/structures to finance inventory.
• Work as part of a cross functional team, assess proposals from banks including review of commercial terms, accounting implications and business implications.
• Deliver the selected solution and ensure seamless integration with business processes.
WHAT YOU'll NEED
Essential:
• Prior experience of delivering complex funding solutions such as securitisations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience of collaborating effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners.
• Organised and able to manage projects.
Desirable:
• Experience of working on large scale transformation projects in a Finance related area.
• Accounting or Treasury qualifications, e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA and ACT
