About the Commercial Finance Team at TalkTalk

You'll be part of a team of like-minded Finance Business Partners, with whom you'll work closely and will share a passion for growing and optimising the financial and commercial outcomes in our Consumer business.

Your role will require you to work collaboratively with Commercial colleagues as a valued and trusted advisor and provide support and challenge to their initiatives and opportunities.

You will work closely with other finance colleagues across TalkTalk to ensure delivery of timely and high-quality reporting and analysis.

About the Role

As Commercial Finance Manager - Go-to-Market, you will play a key role in forecasting, reporting and influencing the financial and commercial outcomes in our Consumer Business Unit.

You will be focused on monitoring the investment costs and performance of the products and propositions we take to market, along with managing our OpEx Marketing and Retention costs.

You'll be a valued and trusted advisor in supporting the Head of Commercial Finance to business partner key Consumer Leadership stakeholders. Your role will provide recommendations, high-quality analysis and clearly and concisely explain key reporting and insight on profitability, cashflow and KPI's.

Key responsibilities in the role include:

• Business partner to the Customer Growth and Marketing Leadership teams, providing timely and insightful reporting and analysis to the areas of the business to drive improvements and key initiatives.
• Own the budgeting and rolling reforecasting process across EBITDA and cash for OpEx Marketing and Retention costs, including review and challenge with Consumer Leadership teams.
• Clear articulation of current performance, accurate forecasting of future performance, and value add analysis to support decision making and drive profitable growth.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders within the Customer Growth and Marketing teams to ensure your stakeholders understand their financial performance, allowing them to optimise performance and deliver against their financial and strategic targets.
• Proactively involved in the creation and development of detailed and high-quality business cases, ensuring financials are thoroughly understood and delivered on to drive value for the business.
• Contribute and attend the weekly R&O forum, identifying and recommending opportunities to improve financial outcomes whilst supporting the business to quantify and mitigate emerging risks.
• Work alongside the Core Finance team and wider business to streamline and improve financial processes, reporting and analysis to drive more accurate information and support key business initiatives.
• Critical member of the Commercial Finance team providing support and cover for the Senior Finance Manager when required.
• Collaborate with confidence to influence key decision making with the business unit, willing to challenge as a vocal and valued member of the team.

About You:

In order to be successful in this role, it would help to have the following:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Business partnering / stakeholder management experience
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills
• Presentation skills to non-finance stakeholders
• Strong analytical and commercial skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
