Our client is an investment management service provider. They are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for the consolidation and oversight of the day-to-day accounting functions of the fund.

About the Opportunity

• Manage full cycle accounting for Crestpoint Real Estate Fund including but not limited to:
• Prepare and post general journal entries
• Month end reconciliations
• Quarterly financial statement packages
• Monthly NAV calculation
• Prepare monthly & quarterly consolidation package for purposes of determining the Net Asset Value ("NAV")
• As part of determining the NAV, calculate performance incentives and track hurdle rates
• Prepare audited financial statements inclusive of full notes, shells and all necessary disclosures
• Responsible for treasury management including cash reconciliations, wire payments, partner distributions, liaison with banks and lenders
• Prepare and file monthly HST remittances
• Prepare quarterly performance calculations for the fund
• Assist with gathering supporting documentation and prepare working papers for tax returns [T5013, T2]
• Work with external auditors and respond to requests from external investors

About You

• CPA designation or in enrolled
• Undergraduate degree preferably in accounting and finance
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry work experience (fund experience is an asset)
• Experience with financial statement preparation, maintaining accounting records and general ledger, etc. tax filings and accounting policies and procedures

Salary Range
$95,000/year
