Your Role at Baxter

The Revenue Cycle Supervisor for Baxter Respiratory Health, in consultation with the Revenue Cycle Management team, is responsible for supervising employees in the Accounts Receivable, Medicare Supporting Documentation and File Resolution functions. This role is directly responsible for driving departmental policies and procedures related to Medicare and Medicare MCO plans, to ensure collections of claims and compliance with existing payer and internal policies.

Additional duties include identifying and ensuring adherence to payer requirements for documentation and authorization, identifying and resolving escalated payer or patient issues, collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business processes and efficiencies are met, and drive to meet team collections and accounts receivable goals. Additionally, the Revenue Cycle Supervisor is responsible for leading, motivating, and communicating change to their team.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Supervisory responsibilities to include hiring, firing, compensation, disciplinary actions, training, employee development and performance management. Responsible for the direct supervision of a team of 10-14 members.
  • Monitor workloads for functional area, including daily performance metrics, adherence to standard work policies, specific projects and cross-functional training.
  • Perform claims adjustments reviews to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with Payer Database, Managed Care, Billing and other key stakeholders in order to meet business needs.
  • Identify and develop strategies surrounding specific payer issues to improve collections.
  • Monitor and evaluate team effectiveness and individual productivity measured against established performance standards. Apply corrective measures as appropriate to ensure standards are maintained and goals are achieved.
  • Collaborate with supervisory team to ensure consistency in communications and procedures across Revenue Cycle Management.
  • Provide training and mentoring to new team members, answer questions, and provide support to all team members.
  • Assist staff in career development, and drive team.
  • Coordinate team workflow and ensure quality objectives and work deadlines are being met.
  • Accountable to ensure thatthe highest compliance standards are met.
  • Identify payer issues/trends and communicate payer updates to management as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all payer rules and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required; BS/BA preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, preferably with a DME supplier
  • 1 plus years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards, including a working knowledge of Compliance and HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of Third-Party Payer rules and requirements.
  • Basic understanding of other revenue cycle functions including coding, billing, and collections
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career.At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $52,800 to $132,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
