This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team in a vibrant and modern office environment to hone your financial reporting skills and help to drive the development of the Financial Reporting (‘FR’) team. FR is a specialist team, independent from audit, who sit within Business Services and Outsourcing (‘BSO’).
FR have several subsections of focus 1) Private Equity backed businesses 2) Large corporate groups with international subsection 3) Owner Managed Business. This role will be within the Owner Managed Business focussed part of the FR team.
As an FR Senior you will take responsibility for running assignments of your own portfolio. These are prepared under a range of accounting frameworks including FRS 102 and 101 as well as providing support to clients with auditor liaison, and ad hoc technical queries, for example, accounting for share-based payments, new revenue streams and financial instruments. You will take an active role in identifying potential issues and communicating the client’s needs and potential solutions.
You'll be someone with:
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Excellent working knowledge of FRS102, FRS102 1A, FRS101 with the ability to apply these accounting frameworks.
- Experience in a trainee or senior role, including delivering statutory accounts preparation.
- Evidence of ability to research technical accounting matters.
- Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Competent in the use of CaseWare or other relevant accounts production software.
