Join us as a Junior Accounting and Financial Reporting Representative!

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for Accounting and Financial Reporting Representative. In this role, under direction of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for alternative investment funds registered in Luxembourg and United States.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • General Ledger accounting (stand-alone).
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual stand-alone financial reports to internal (other BBH offices) and external parties (clients, auditors, tax advisors).
  • Preparing statutory financial statements of the entities under administration.
  • Preparing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Analyzing financial data (balance sheet and profit and loss accounts) and commenting on significant period to period variances and trends.
  • Ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all clients’ related tasks.
  • Communicating with clients; ensuring timely and accurate responses to any client queries.
  • Developing and maintaining working familiarity with applicable laws, regulations and interpretations governing accounting framework, financial statements and disclosure, including IFRS, US GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Primary degree in accounting/finance related discipline (or in progress).
  • Experience in general ledger accounting and/or financial report preparation would be beneficial.
  • Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated.
  • Must be highly computer literate with very good Excel, Word and skills.
  • Very good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess the ability to work as part of a team in a potentially high pressure, client-driven environment.
  • Very good English (C1) is essential and knowledge of German and/or French as an additional asset.
