Finance Business Partner

Team and Role Introduction:
A finance business partner is an accountant who work closely with a business unit creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management. His/her role is to provide 'real time' support and analysis, to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making. Critical to his/her success is an ability to communicate their message, to understand their audience and deliver the information in a clear and user-friendly manner. It is this mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills which are at the heart of successful finance business partnering.

Responsibilities:
• Provide effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered.
• Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
• Initiates, coordinates and tracks financial processes improvements and ensures compliance with appropriate financial standards and best practices.
• Coordinate and input into the annual planning cycle; liaison with key stakeholders and provision of analysis and advice.
• Assist in completion of budget adhering to the budget setting process as define by the Finance Department and completing to timetable.
• Ensure that corporate initiatives and requirements are communicated to the Business and provide appropriate support in complying with these.
• Improving the impact, and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
• Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
