GCG Group Barbados is a member of the GCG Group which operates in 21 countries across the US, Caribbean, Central and South America. We are seeking to recruit a resourceful individual to join our team as a Country Finance Manager. This role involves the management of the daily operations of the Shared Finance Services Department by ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial information, and analysis, to support the decision-making process of the Executive Management team; and meets the reporting requirements of GCG Group; in addition to working closely with the Local Finance Representative and Country Station Manager to ensure the Group of Companies objectives are met.
Key Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Leading and managing the Finance Shared Services department which includes the Procurement function and Accounting.
* Supporting the local management team in all aspects of Financial Management of the businesses
* Coordinating the preparation and review of the monthly management reports, financial statements and non-financial KPI reports.
* Spearheading the financial and statutory reporting processes, ensuring all local statutory requirements are met.
* Coordinating the External and Internal Audit process aligned to agreed deadlines.
* Coordinating the preparation of the annual IFRS Financial Statements and disclosure notes.
* Managing the Budget and Forecasting processes by ensuring budgets are compiled based on the Zero-Based Budget (ZBB) Principle; and analyzing actual results to ensure adherence to budget throughout the year.
* Manage the pricing process and provide suggestions to the Station Manager for approval.
* Collaborating with the Accountants and other Finance Team members to ensure the working capital and cashflow requirements are achieved and cash is managed according to group policies.
* Maintaining a controlled environment by ensuring proper internal controls are developed, implemented, and monitored and accurate records management are in place.
* Overseeing financial control and negotiation of all purchasing or contracting for equipment, materials and services required for the Company.
* Mentoring and coaching the finance team and supporting the succession plan of the organization.
* Periodic review and updating of Financial Policies and Procedures within the organization aligned to GCG Financial Policy.
* Supporting the Cluster Team in achieving all ad hoc reporting requirements and deadlines relevant to Finance.
Qualification and Experience Needed:
* Minimum of 8 years' work experience in a similar position,
* University degree in a related field from an accredited institution and a ACCA, CPA (Canada) or any other professional accounting designation.
* Advance level user of Microsoft Office Suite and Finance Software i.e. Adagio
* Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and statutory legislation and regulations.
* Experience within the Aviation and Ground Handling industries would be an asset.
* Strong understanding and knowledge of all aspect of Finance and Accounting: Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, Taxation, Budgeting and Forecasting, Costing, Pricing, Management Reporting and Financial Statement Preparation.

This role is open to anyone with status to work and reside in Barbados or in possession of a CSME certificate and is willing to relocate to Barbados.
