I am currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our client's dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the accounting team and report directly to the Financial Controller. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Description

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledgers, and other financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in inventory management and costing activities.
  • Conduct periodic audits of financial data to ensure compliance with established procedures and regulations.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis, providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance financial controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Working towards CA/CPA qualifications.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Previous experience in an accounting role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
