Our Corporate Finance team specialise in mergers and acquisitions. We make an impact by advising our clients on buying, selling, and raising growth finance for their businesses. We are a market leading firm, ranking as one of the 5th largest firms nationally based on transaction volumes. Our deals range in value, typically from £1m to £50m. We are a highly experienced award-winning team that provide high-intensity deal management. Corporate Finance is all about combining a wide range of advisory skills to achieve the right solution for our clients. To achieve this, your role will involve researching markets, deal marketing, people skills, commercial awareness, and financial analysis.

Working closely with our award-winning team you will gain a high level of exposure to corporate acquisitions, disposals, management-buy-outs, management-buy-ins and fundraising. You will have the opportunity to directly impact transactions, develop your technical skills and develop your network.

The important work you will be doing:

Your day-to-day duties and key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Research and analysis into potential buyers, acquisition targets and markets.
  • Analysing and evaluating financial information.
  • Producing key sales documentation, management presentations and reports.
  • Forecasting, financial modelling, and assisting clients with creating business plans.
  • Providing support on transaction project management.
  • Liaising with all transaction stakeholders including opposing advisors, legal teams, due diligence providers, tax advisers and other intermediaries.
  • Supporting on transaction strategy and negotiations.
  • Contributing to business development, supporting on pitches and deal origination.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the M&A community, including private equity, funders, corporates, law firms and other advisers.

The skills and experience you will bring:

  • ACA, CFQ or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Proven time and project management skills.
  • Spreadsheet/modelling experience and a logical, analytical mind.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including report writing.
  • An aptitude for and desire to be actively involved with business development.
  • A strong desire to progress and develop your career.
