Your field of responsibility

  • Oversight on Financial Reporting for the AMS entities covering broker dealers and mortgage entities
  • Control ownership and oversight on Financial Reporting controls (across SOX / IHC and IMBS and CAF frameworks) and help balancing concentration of controls with existing staff.
  • Entity level Supervisory Review responsibilities on Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Off Balance Sheet analytics for IHC entities
  • Significant Issue management and assistance in resolution / partner concern for period end Financial Reporting in the IHC
  • Engagement in and review responsibilities relating to delivery of External audit (for IHC entities) covering 6 entities including collaborating closely with auditors
  • Support / Engagement in onsite visit of Regulators (e.g. Fed Reserve Bank) including assistance in resolving issues and partner concerns
  • Review support on complex disclosures in the IHC for Group and Regulatory Reporting
  • SOX Process refinement and oversight
  • Supervisory review and approval of material journals in the IHC in USGAAP
  • Assistance in Partner management for Broker Dealer and Mortgage entities

Financial Accounting (FA) is a globally distributed team responsible for the core accounting and financial statement disclosure reporting for the major legal entities within the Credit Suisse Group. The FA Americas team based in Raleigh is a solid team responsible for the core income statement and balance sheet accounting, results analysis / presentation, disclosure reporting, financial statement preparation and regulatory reporting for Credit Suisse’s US Intermediate Holding Company and its subsidiaries as well as Credit Suisse’s New York and Cayman Branches. Your skills and experience

We are looking for an applicant who is expected to have the below skills and experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting / Finance (qualified CPA or equivalent preferred)
  • Proven/Equivalent experience in Banking or Financial Services including team management. (Prior line experience in financial reporting will be an added advantage)
  • Proven experience with US GAAP Financial reporting requirements including preparation / review of US GAAP Financial Statements (prior experience with SEC Filers preferred).
  • Effective interpersonal skills and excellent phenomenal teammate.
  • Be a self-starter with a positive and high-energy approach.
  • Possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for details.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Prior working knowledge of PeopleSoft and other CS Systems (e.g. ADAC Reporting Tool and Essbase is an added advantage) is an added advantage.
  • Have detailed understanding of accounting principles and ability to easily navigate through and work with technical US GAAP Accounting in Financial Services industry
  • Show initiative with a solid dedication to learn, and to multi-task while meeting timelines.
  • Be able to work optimally gel as part of a team and work independently.
  • Demonstrate proactive approach in resolving issues with a control focus mentality.
