State Street Alpha is looking to bring on an Alpha Platform Solutions Technical Integration Developer to design, build and deliver solutions to extend the core standard components packaged with the Alpha Platform. The Technical Integration Developer will work in collaboration with Business Analysts to review requirements and will work with the Lead Product Architect and Lead Technical Architect to design integrated platform solutions.

Why this role is important to us

This is a key role responsible for delivering critical product components for the Alpha Platform to ensure rapid deployment, swift upgrades and ease of support and maintenance. This role requires a broad understanding of the many systems that make up the Alpha Platform, with deep understanding in particular, of the front office, data warehouse and data management components.  It also requires a solid understanding of financial instruments and the processing requirements from a front, middle and back office perspective. The successful candidate will have a breadth of experience including software development, front office operations, consulting experience delivering business critical solutions to clients and practical experience setting up and enabling a broad set of financial instruments for end to end system integration.

What you will be responsible for

As the Technical Integration Developer you will

• Develop technical integration solutions using a range of tools to develop an efficient platform product solution
• Learn new technologies in and around the Alpha Platform to use in the delivery of platform solutions
• Collaborate with the QA Lead to build test harnesses and automated release certification tools
• Collaborate with stream leads to define operations model for development and test environments
• Support the analysts to create documentation to enable implementation, operations and support teams to efficiently and effectively deploy, manage and upgrade product solutions
• Contribute to software quality by reviewing QA test plans and test cases and providing feedback.

What we value

The Technical Integration Developer is expected to have extensive expertise with cloud based solution delivery, a range of development tools such as Java, C++ or other object oriented language, scripting tools like Python, Kettle or R, and integration tools packaged with common financial services application suites. The successful candidate will have experience leading diverse teams through complex multi-stage deliveries utilizing a mix of tools and integration patterns

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 4 year degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematical Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 10+  years of experience in various stages of software and solution design and development
• Experience working with teams across business services, information systems and enterprise applications
• Extensive knowledge of multiple financial services technology systems with special attention to Front Office Trading and Investment Accounting. Experience with Charles River Development, State Street Technology Systems and/or Alpha are a significant plus
• Successful track record delivering software solutions in consulting, client specific and product contexts.
• Experience implementing agile processes/tools and standards.

Salary Range:

• $120,000 - $202,500 Annual
