The Alpha Platform Quality Assurance Analyst I supports the Alpha Platform roadmap by contributing to strategic initiatives in Alpha Platform Management. The Quality Assurance Analysts fills a crucial role to ensure our enterprise solutions are delivered with superb quality and reliability.

The team you will be joining is part of State Street Alpha, the first open front-to-back platform. Alpha harmonizes data, technology and services across the end-to-end investment management cycle. This allows our client teams to work seamlessly across the front, middle and back office with consistent data to support more informed decision making and eliminating data silos. The Alpha organization is driving the strategic vision for State Street into 2023 and beyond.

Quality Assurance is a new function within Alpha Platform Solutions. You will contribute to evolving QA strategy, QA processes and practices.

What you will be responsible for

As an Alpha Platform Quality Assurance Analyst, you will

• Lead testing efforts on strategic interfaces
• Work directly with product management teams, implementation and operations teams and third-party vendors to understand business processes and the interfaces/applications under test to support strategic projects.
• Contribute to overall test strategy and test plans
• Design and execute test cases.
• Work with the development team to build automated test models
• Extend relationships across the Alpha, State Street, CRD and third-party teams to support the development of the Alpha Platform and learn test practices and automation ideas to bring back to the team.
• Support Jira rollout across the team

• Experience with Performance Measurement, Risk and Attribution Reporting
• SQL query skills and experience with Snowflake/JDBC
• Ability to design and execute automated tests and experience with tools such as Java, Cumber, TestNG
• Knowledge of the end-to-end investment management cycle
• Knowledge of programming, relational DB design and systems and process integration
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Exposure to Confluence, Jira (and other Agile supporting software)
• Ability to maintain focus and priorities in a dynamic setting
• Strong collaboration skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years software development or quality assurance experience as a hands-on practitioner
• Understanding of software engineering and quality assurance principles, standards and metrics.
• Experience working with teams across business services, information systems and enterprise applications with exposure to Alpha a plus
• Performance Measurement, Risk and Attribution Reporting a strong plus
• Experience with one or more of the following: Investment Accounting, Enterprise Data Management Charles River Development

Cloud experience preferred, Azure experience a real plus.

Salary Range:

• $90,000 - $142,500 Annual
