This is a 12 month role for a Senior Finance Analyst who will provide advice, guidance, analysis and who will be responsible for reporting of financial information. This role is mainly focused on FP&A (combined with GL).
Client Details
My client is a multinational organisation with entities in EMEA and the US (the role is UK focused). They have a smaller finance function based out of Newbury, along with other departments.
Description
The main responsibilities will include:
- Analysis and interpretation of complex monthly financial results to identify financial issues, for business leaders; provide insights and make recommendations of possible course corrections
- Analysis of weekly and monthly trends (e.g., expense, fringes) in partnership with business leaders to develop/update quarterly forecasts and budgets and provide feedback
- Reporting on financial trends; synthesise information, and may create presentations for management
- Assess system capabilities and process efficiency's, and make recommendations for enhancements and upgrades
- Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; gathering data and generating reports in support of trend analysis
- Collaborate with business department to monitor complex and high volume SGP percentage on products and customer level
- Prepare, file, and process annual tax declarations (e.g., VAT, income, sales, and local taxes
- Ensure compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors
Profile
The successful candidate will need to be:
- Fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
- Available to start working in June to achieve a full handover
- Experienced with accounting, forecasting, planning, or expense analysis
- Experienced working in an international company preferred
- Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SP) experience preferred
- Substantial understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX
Job Offer
- Day rate equivalent of up to £60k (£310 via umbrella but could be offered on a PAYE basis)
- 12 month role on a day rate
