Interim Head of Finance/ Finance Director

Responsibilities include:
* Ensure appropriate internal control environment over company assets and processes.
* Work very closely with operational management and provide appropriate financial analysis and decision support. There will be a heavy focus on product costing and profitability measures for all aspects of the business.
* Evaluate, re-design (as necessary), and implement business processes to ensure cost-effective practices.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with external banking, insurance, legal, and financial advisors.
* Responsible for monthly financial accounts, reports and forecasting.
* Responsible for the presentation of annual accounts and co-ordination of external audit.
* Responsible for annual budget, cash flow and capital plan.
* Assist directors/managers to interpret financial reports and budget control.
* Responsible for the cash management including forecasting.
* Ensure appropriate compliance with corporate tax and statutory reporting/payment requirements.
* Oversight of Credit Management function. Ensure the Company maintains appropriate credit control and terms of business.
* Responsible for all aspect of payroll and related reporting requirements.
* Work closely with human resources and outside consultants on pension administration, employee insurance, incentive and other benefit schemes.
* Prepare and maintain corporate records including minutes of Board/Shareholder meetings, legal documents, and statutory filing requirements.
* Assess and maintain general insurance coverage.

Profile

we are looking for

- a qualified Accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

- experience gained in a number 1 role for a SME business in the UK.

- ideally multi-site retail

- MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FROM THE OFFICE FULL TIME ( Banbury/ Bicester)
