  • My client is looking for their next Finance Business Partner who is going to be a supportive & enthusiastic in their role and take delegated responsibility for financial management

  • My client is a Multi Academy Trust and an excellent employer in the local area
  • The main office is based in St.Albans, but some travel to surrounding sites is to be expected

Description

  • To ensure in liaison with the CFO that the Trust is fully compliant with regard to DfE, ESFA and statutory financial requirements.
  • Take delegated responsibility for the financial processes, monitoring and decisions as agreed with the CFO / COO.
  • Work with the CFO to ensure accuracy, consistency, and robust financial processes are in place
  • Liaise with the Headteachers within the trust on individual school financial needs, ensuring they are confident and reassured by the level of information and support offered.
  • Work with the CFO to ensure the successful transfer of new schools into the trust.
  • Implement consistent financial procedures in accordance with current legislation and financial policies.
  • Provide support as relevant to the trust, schools and their senior leadership teams.
  • Financial Management
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for academy schools within the MAT including accruals and prepayments.
  • Completion of monthly reconciliations by school including bank, payroll and all control accounts.
  • To ensure that the monthly checklist is completed for each of the schools and any follow up action is taken promptly.
  • Develop a good all round understanding of the processes and procedures behind the production of the management accounts to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the accounts are produced accurately and according to the SET internal timetable.

Profile

  • Qualfied ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE.
  • Technically skilled in Excel for data manipulation and reporting such as vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Excellent communicator and the ability to build good working relationships with external stakeholders, other team members and managers
  • Be able, knowledgeable and competent on a recognised accounting package and be able to learn new accounting programs within short timescales
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills are required, as is the ability to develop solutions to problems and work on your own initiative.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines.

Job Offer

  • This role is fully site based
  • Hours: 37 a week
  • Permanent Contract - term-time + 5 days INSET + 2 weeks
  • 33 days holiday
  • 21.6% pension
