Assistant Accountant

A fantastic permanent opportunity for a full time Assistant Accountant role based just near Manchester Airport.

Description

The duties include:

• Full responsibility for the purchase ledger including fortnightly multi-currency payments.
• Debtors management and monthly reconciliation process.
• Monthly debtors and creditors reconciliation.
• Daily bank account management - receipts / payments / transferrers.
• Fixed asset register maintenance including depreciation postings.
• Sales Flash into bespoke systems.
• Various reports generation to send to the UK Leadership Team.
• Assisting the Finance Manager with rolling forecasts and annual budgeting.
• Inbound Stock recording management.
• Quarterly VAT return (UK and Ireland).
• Process monthly salary journals and HMRC management.
• Lead aspects of the month end process with minimal input from the Finance Manager.
• Year End processes and assistance.

Profile

The successful candidate MUST:

• Have experience in transactional finance and basic exposure to month end - Essential
• Be comfortable using MS Excel, Sage and SAP - Desirable
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills - Essential
• Be driven to learn and improve processes - Desirable

Job Offer

This role is looking to pay up to £34,000 + Bonus + Pension + Parking + Medical
