Our Alternatives Valuation Services practice (AVS) comprises a team of talented valuation professionals coming from various horizons including Assurance and Advisory Lines of Services. They all share the same passion for delivering expertise and value of the highest standards to clients.

Your mission:

As an Associate within AVS, your responsibilities will be to perform valuation analysis and reviews of a wide spectrum of assets (Private Equity, Private Debt & Infrastructure assets, as well as Intangible assets) in assessing the reasonableness of valuations and financial models in the context of financial reporting and assurance related engagements, as well as the opportunity for exposure to advisory engagements across the Alternatives industry such as valuation, process implementation and review, data analytics and benchmarking.

Preferred knowledge/skills:

  • A recent graduate from an economics, business and/or management school with a focus in finance;
  • Excellent academic background;
  • Strong foundational knowledge of valuation principles and techniques (income, market, and asset based approach) with regards to business valuation;
  • Detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, autonomous and enjoying working in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and financial matters, while demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills;
  • Being flexible when adapting to changing client needs and market conditions;
  • Communicating effectively in English, both written and verbally, within a professional services business environment;
  • Knowledge of recognized valuation guidelines, such as IPEV guidelines or IVS is a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of industry software and tools (i.e. Bloomberg, S&P CapIQ, and/or advanced Excel modelling) is a plus;
  • Knowledge of option pricing models is a plus;
  • Receptive to feedback and uses reflection to develop strengths and address developmental areas;
  • Command of French or German language is an asset and additional language would be considered as a plus;
  • IT knowledge is an asset;
  • Professional qualification in progress (CFA, CAIA, ACA, RICS…) is a plus.
