Regulatory Operations is a global team that ensures that the firm is compliant with a wide range of non-financial regulatory reporting obligations. We partner with groups across the firm and industry to accurately represent firm and client order, execution and position information to regulators across a wide range of traded financial products and businesses. How you will fulfill your potential?

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Contribute towards the development of the strategic control framework in Regulatory Operations
  • Actively participating in the execution of the Asset Management Business’ post trade & transaction reporting responsibilities (MIFID I & II)
  • Investigation of internal and external regulatory inquiries related to transaction, trade, position and client assets,
  • Improve the reporting process by documenting requirements to address regulatory reports for discrepancies,
  • Perform analysis on reporting irregularities, corrective actions working closely with different teams,
  • Direct on regulatory risk and requirements to accelerate commercial activity,
  • Perform data verification, validations and testing - provided by other teams prior to submission,
  • Collaboratively work across multiple business lines and stakeholder groups in strategic initiatives across the global departments
  • Build strong working relationships internally (incl. Front and Middle Office, Technology, Legal, Compliance) and externally to support various reporting requirements

Required Skills / Knowledge:

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with scrupulous attention to detail,
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities within deadlines,
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
  • Understanding complex workflows paired with strong communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills (ability to build strong relationship with key stakeholders within and outside the team)
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 1-2 years of experience in a global firm with Project Management/ Financial/Tech/Legal background,
  • Clearly articulation of issues and ideas, providing timely escalation,
  • Good influencing skills to work with the Operations team in challenging the status quo and continuously enhancing the control environment required,
  • Self-motivated , proactive team player, person who takes ownership and accountability of projects,
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), proficiency with web-based applications

Preferred experience:

  • In an Operations Control Environment or Asset Management
  • In regulatory reporting teams
  • Working knowledge about project management and business analysis,
  • Solid knowledge of financial markets, regulatory requirements as well as associated processes,
  • Strong understanding of financial products, e.g. fixed income, exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives,
  • Working experience with operating on large data sets and BI tools (incl. SQL, Alteryx, Tableau)
