Role/ Department:

This professional will join an operational finance team supporting the Global Regulatory Reporting System (GRS) used across North America, APAC and EMEA. The role focuses on designing and executing consistent and well-controlled processes to support complete and accurate data sets used for regulatory reporting across all regions. A successful individual within this role will be a self-starter, comfortable with large data sets and ability to make connections between the data and financial outputs. Strong control background will become critical in ensuring processes meet the business, regulatory and third-party expectations. Effective communication within the team, and regional business units is required as the team supports regions within multiple time zones. The role will report directly to a Team Lead/Manager in Manila with dotted line reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Manager in Chicago.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Validate and maintain accuracy and completeness of data sets sourced into GRR (this includes timely updates of reference and static data).
  • Run data quality routines to identify and resolve data issues prior to reporting.
  • Perform data set adjustments and execute updates in reporting system.
  • Test changes within the system for any releases provided from the vendor.
  • Review and action exception reports.
  • Assist with requirements updates and testing for changes to configuration.
  • Design consistent and efficient ways to review data and provide impactful feedback to regional business.
  • Communicate with multiple stakeholders, including teammates, regional business, Finance IT and vendors.

Skills/ Qualifications:

  • Experience working within financial industry in finance or accounting role with a focus on data quality and effective controls.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to challenge the status quo and suggest areas of improvement to result in more efficient and consistent processes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with creating documentation and setting up well evidenced and repeatable processes.
  • Ability to adapt and react timely and positively in a changing and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team where the accuracy and timeliness of data are critical.
  • Ability to develop relationships with diverse groups and various levels of financial and operating personnel.
  • Prior experience working with Adenza (Axiom) system is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • 5-6 years of related work experience

Work Schedule:

  • 4:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Mondays-Fridays
