Our partner, a world-leading international charity, seeks a group financial controller with good experience of working in a head office for an international organisation and being responsible for the consolidated financial statements (preferably INGO) including external auditor relations.

Responsibilities

• Leads on the development and implementation of controls, and accounting processes and policies, both in the HQ and country offices.
• Provide oversight of the day-to-day finance function, including the monthly and quarterly accounts reconciliations, and preparation of the year-end consolidated financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supports in the preparation of annual and internal audits, and leads in the implementation of recommendations.

Requirements

• A chartered accountant, with over ten years of experience in financial accounting in a group function within an international organisation; experience in leading the preparation of annual consolidation financial statements and audit preparation, in developing and strengthening controls, processes and systems.
• Strong technical skills with knowledge of GAAP and IFRS compliance and reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

This role has management responsibilities. The role offers hybrid working in the UK with some international travel.
