Description

Month End Reporting

  • Analyze and review the monthly factory performance such as P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Evaluate all reports and maintain financial accuracy for all plant processes and analyze all business trends and provide required explanations.
  • Review and monitoring all month end closing activities such as cost allocation, production variance, price purchase variance (PPV) and others have been properly calculated and with proper root cause analysis.
  • Analyze the actual cost of goods sold vs budget with proper justifications.
  • Analyze all operations and customer profitability ratio.

Daily Processing Activities

  • Analyze the production order actual usage against the standard costing and any variances to be properly justified.
  • Leading the Capex management for the factory for any new asset investments with proper analysis such as ROI, costing elements etc. On top of that involve in the approval routing for the Capex spending and creating the asset requisition number (INPEC) based on budgeted CAPEX.
  • Leading and analyze the factory cost reduction opportunities which is part of the productivity cost saving project.
  • Ensuring that physical inventory match with the inventory in system. Guiding both production and warehouse team on the cycle count process, and monthly/quarterly full stock count process. Any discrepancies to be properly justified with management approval before posting the stock adjustments in the system.
  • Perform simulation of the P&L impact if there is any volume reduction vs forecast and budget to provide insight to management on the COGS element.
  • Involve in the factory operation meeting as business partnering either on daily/weekly meeting in order to get better insight on the factory day to day operation performance.
  • Review the PR/PO raised by factory team to understand the nature and justification for each submission

Annual budgeting process and mid-term planning (MTP)

  • Leading the factory overall yearly budgeting process which adhere to the timeline provided.
  • Drive the annual budget planning together with the factory stakeholders for the material costing, overhead cost etc as well as perform simulation for the P&L impact and cash flow.
  • Drive the Capex budgeting planning for the factory.
  • Perform simulation on the costing run process during the budgeting period to analyze the impact of standard cost.

Internal Control

  • Drive the internal control agenda for the factory such as acting as subject matter expert for the internal control policy for factory environment.
  • Leading and monitor the SOP of factory business processes to ensure is properly updated based on current workflow.
  • Leading and sharing any internal control improvement practices for factory operation.
  • Implement internal control improvement that is recommended by Internal and/or External Auditor

Others

  • Preparation and presenting the Mid Month Meeting Operation slides with the Supply Chain Department
  • Handle the internal & external auditor request
  • Provide the cost simulation for the New Product Development (NPD)
  • Any other assigned project as required

Profile

  • Degree or professional certificate in Accountancy / Finance.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, SQL, Business Objects).
  • Knowledge of ERP, ideally SAP and related data analysis tools are an added advantage.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills essential with broad understanding of functional workings of each department within a standalone business
  • Self-starter who can manage fluctuating workloads and projects using a high degree of initiative.
  • Strong team player with a clear focus on stakeholder engagement and solution delivery
