The UK National Sales Company (NSC) has responsibility for the sale of vehicles, parts, accessories and merchandise within the United Kingdom, generating turnover in excess of £4bn. The UK NSC has a vision "to be the Best NSC, delivering an exceptional customer experience and great business results".

The NSC contains c. 300 heads, deployed in functions covering Sales, Marketing, Aftersales and Finance and supported by a cross functional Business Transformation Office (BTO). The NSC finance team is split into three pillars representing FP&A, Sales and Operations. This role is positioned underneath the operations pillar, giving great exposure to all functions within the NSC

WHAT TO EXPECT

The purpose of this role is to act as a trusted advisor to the UK Marketing team and work together to create marketing plans which optimise variable profit. You will support the quarterly financial target setting process and be accountable for containing spend within target as well as supporting the achievement of strategic business objectives through proactive finance business partnering. This role will also maintain links to the central finance teams in terms of budgetary control.

As the Senior Finance Analyst - UK NSC, you'll be responsible for:
• Financial support and business partnering
• Be accountable for variance analysis, explaining actuals to central team, and fully understand the physical drivers of cost
• Deliver financial reports to operational and senior stakeholders to inform key business decision making
• Work with business partners to deliver against targets pragmatically. Flexibility is required to reprioritise spend within a quarter to reflect latest production/ market conditions
• Operating independently and providing a high level of support to the Finance Manager
• Cross functional working with the wider finance community to deliver finance strategies / initiatives
• Support internal control requirements & audit, documentation of processes and best practice
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• Proven Finance Business Partner experience ideally gained within a large, complex organisation
• Proven strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and nurture internal and external relationships
• Exceptional numerical and analytical skills supported by communication and presentation skills
• Ability to influence a range of stakeholders and to translate financial issues for operational teams
• Ability to multi-task, work accurately at speed and under pressure, demonstrating flexibility in balancing delivery of conceptual work with attention to detail and hands on delivery
• Strong analytical background and delivery skills
• Customer focused -determine service requirements and performance measures, and initiate solutions
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience
