In this role you will be responsible for…
- Financial management of R&D Business Development contracts for alliances and collaborations
- Supporting the accounting for new Business Development deals, ensuring that actual accounting is in line with agreed accounting treatment
- Preparation of some accounting papers for new or amended R&D Business Development deals and alliances
- Partnering with external alliance partners, internal and external auditors
- Providing finance support to senior stakeholders to ensure timely and informed decision making
- Leading the impairment review process for Equity investments
- Accounting for investments in associates and out-licensing income
- Review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Tracking actual spend versus budget and preparing month-end commentary on P&L and balance sheet
- Coordination of internal and external audit process, including Sox controls testing
- Providing accounting guidance to other team members
- Driving simplification and standardization of processes, outputs and data
- Ensuring timely delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- 5-8 years of international experience in group consolidation / reporting / controlling / financial audit (BIG4 preferred)
- Very good knowledge of IFRS and accounting
- Ability to discuss professional issues with senior stakeholders
- Fluent English (min. C1)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Advanced Excel skills
- Mindset for quality and accuracy
- Hands on approach and good at getting into the deep detail
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- ACCA or equivalent
- Project management skills
- Out-of-the-box thinking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of data manipulation and analytical tools (Power BI, Power Query, SQL)
