Assistant Manager Audit

Responsibilities

• Oversee the provision of audit from planning through to completion.
• Be the main point of contact for clients on audit matters
• Plan, manage and affect the flow-through and completion of audit work.
• Develop, grow and strengthen existing client relationships. 
• Working with Partner and Senior Managers to plan and develop audit assignments..
• Controls and substantive testing (including audits of consolidations and statutory accounts).
• Be a point of contact within the audit team, ensuring audit work is handled efficiently and within agreed time limits.
• Maintain up to date technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting related matters.
• Assist in technical and audit planning advice with clients.
• Preparation of reports for senior management and clients.
• Project management of all aspects of audit including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings, and supervision and delivery of audit work.
• Identifying, researching and helping to resolve complex accounting and audit issues.
• Manage and train audit staff ensuring they achieve their goals whilst also ensuring they develop on current skills and competencies

Requirements

• Last 4 years working as an external audit associate/ supervisor.
• Be qualified ICAEW/ACCA/CA. 
• Articles completed from big 4 or large audit firm will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ISAs.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Well-developed leadership and supervisory skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals both internally and externally at different seniority level
• Eagerness to take on new challenges
• Proven management skills
