About the role

Global Business Services (GBS) manages the financial processes for Kerry. Our multilingual and customer-focused employees concentrate on supplying cost effective, compliant and value add services to ensure sustainable growth for Kerry.

Here in GBS, we work alongside our site colleagues to support the following services; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Site Support, MDG, Finance and Inter-Company Invoice Processing, amongst other functions.

Reporting to the GL/FA Controller ,GL Accountant is responsible for managing a GL Ledger profile specifically for BANK & FIXED ASSET.

Key responsibilities

Key Responsibilities BANK:

  • Run & execute Bank KPI Transitory Open Items for Europe
  • Ensures quality checks are performed on KPI Transitory Open Items File
  • Post clearing allocation for Europe transitory & follow-up with AP,AR & stakeholder on the open items.
  • Main contact as central bank team for Europe, responsible to send reminder & email communication.
  • Run & execute ZERO bank balance for Europe
  • Send reminder & email communication for bank balance revaluation.
  • Run, prepare and send out report for Bank KPI Transitory Open Items AP/AR reclass
  • Review Bank KPI Transitory Open Items after AP&AP reclass completed.
  • Send reminder & email communication for transitory balance revaluation
  • Run, prepare and send out report for Monthly Bank reconciliation
  • Own and provide audit support for internal and external requirements
  • Effectively manage multiple stakeholders within the organisation
  • Ensuring all the data is accurate for reporting purposes

Key Responsibilities Fixed Asset:

  • Daily operation of fixed assets accounting as per the pre-defined activities, process and policy
  • Provide technical support for IFRS16 lease accounting
  • Set up and maintain capital project and project structure in SAP
  • Review AUC projects with plant controllers to ensure AUC projects are placed in service timely
  • Ensure appropriate SOP documentation is completed for asset activation
  • Record asset capitalisation and ensure appropriate documentation is completed
  • Record asset retirement and ensure appropriate documentation is completed and the approval is obtained as per the SOA
  • Record intercompany asset transfer and ensure appropriate documentation is completed
  • Record impairment and ensure appropriate documentation is completed and approval is obtained
  • Run monthly depreciation & lease valuation and perform analysis if any
  • Recon Capital spend system between SAP.
  • Liaise with auditor and provide information such as AUC report, FA movements etc

Qualifications and skills

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 years of related experience with exposure to working in GBS / Shared Services environments, good technical accounting knowledge in commercial / financial accounting with dedicated Banking & Fixed Asset
  • Experience in Fixed Asset Transactions, Process Bank Transactions and Reconciliations, Intercompany Accounting and Reconciliation, Audit Support (Internal and External) and balance sheet reconciliations,
  • Strong SAP knowledge and BPC will be an advantage
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge with Strong Excel skills to promote effective working
  • Superior analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.

  • Experience of working in a / within a multicultural, international environment
  • Strong and proven people management / supervisory background
