An Accounts Payable Officer role in Wellington CBD with a competitive rate of $35 to $40

This prestigious banking company based in Wellington CBD. Known for its determination and commitment to enabling the economy, and the impact on business, communities and whanau. This company is looking for someone to join its global, dynamic business for a short-term temp role.

Your new role

You'll be responsible with ensuring that invoices are tracked and entered to the system, clear accounts payable transactions for month-end, maintain credit cards and send statements to cardholders. You'll also complete month-end creditors and AP General Ledger reconciliation, maintain and monitor the Bank's automatic payments and direct debits, and monitor bank account reconciliation. You'll assist with the preparation of financial information for the Finance and Expenditure Committee of Parliament, provide support to the accounts receivable functions, and any other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous relevant experience in New Zealand within a professional practice or related field.
  • Excellent communication with customer service skills and have an understanding of Accounting.
  • Basic Knowledge of GST for tax invoices.
  • Accurate and efficient with data entry.
  • The ability to liaise with others to achieve team goals.
  • Meticulous and very organised to meet strict deadlines
  • Willingness to provide support to staff.
