Responsibilities:
Manage the team of ca. 10 accountants;
- Motivate, coach and develop the team;

Ensure effective task allocation, task scheduling and staffing;

Provide advice and support to the team in every-day issues resolution;

Supervise the team鈥檚 accounting and financial reporting services provided globally, such as:
- month-end and year-end closing,
- journal entry preparation and posting,
- calculation of accruals,
- processing allocations,
- preparation of account reconciliations including analysis and resolution of reconciling items;
聽
- Perform certain accounting and financial reporting tasks in limited scope;
- Monitor and manage process performance, i.e. verify the work output produced by the team and ensure the deliverables meet the deadlines, are complete and accurate;
- Act as a communication liaison and an escalation point for matters relating to the service provided by the team to the regions, assist management in responding to ad-hoc requests from the regions;
- Drive continuous process improvement and engage in process improvement projects;
- Ensure relevant company policies and procedures are being followed consistently;
- Perform relevant SOX and non-SOX controls, support financial audit and help complete the annual Risk & Control Assessments;
- Collaborate with Internal Control in creation, change and implementation of financial policies and procedures and financial controls;
- Develop digital skills in the team to prepare for future of finance;
- Perform tasks and projects assigned by the Record to Report Manager aimed at meeting yearly objectives laid out for the department.聽 聽聽
Requirements:
- Fluent command of English both in reading and speaking;
- University degree - in Finance, Accounting or similar;
- Professional accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA (qualified or part qualified) is an advantage;
- At least 5 years of experience in a finance organization;
- Experience in General Ledger/Record-to-Report activities or equivalent;
- Excellent communication skills & customer focus;
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills;
- Experience in people management would be an asset;
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills; ability to tackle complex issues independently;
- Ability to work under time pressure;
- Good collaboration with other teams across a wide range of areas throughout the organization;
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus;
- Strong personal computer skills (MS Office Suite).
