Role Purpose

Supporting the Head of National Audit and wider shareholder team with the delivery of a first-class service to our existing Sedulo client by championing the Sedulo values. Highlighting both cross selling and new business opportunities for the group. Supporting the management team with their own development and the development of the wider team.

 

Role Objectives

  • Provide sound knowledge, advice and expertise to the Sedulo clients Support the Head of National Audit with the management and development of the Audit team through effective supervision and training Ensure client work is continually of a high-quality standard Attend client meetings, building excellent client relationships and providing technical challenge and advice Ensure all accounts are reviewed and review points fed back to team members Carry out managerial tasks and support wider team with their development through regular reviews, on the job training and study support Support and lead the seniors within the team with the training and development of the wider Accounts team, allocation of workflow and day to day managerial tasks Ensure billing and cashflow targets are met and educating justification across the teams Find and win meaningful business leads for the business whilst building a strong network of contacts Actively work on promoting your own brand and the Sedulo brand Be responsible for leading tenders and client facing presentations Work closely with the Centralised Functions to develop and showcase your teams’ services Identify client opportunities relating to other specialist areas of the business including but not limited to Tax, Wealth, Funding etc

Your skills, knowledge & experience

  • Qualified in either ACCA, ACA with substantial experience within a practice environment or industry equivalent Must hold RI status Previous experience within a Director or Senior Manager capacity Proven experience of leading a team of Auditors Must be technically strong with experience in FRS102 and IFRS/SORP and have the ability to plan and lead an audit throughout its entirety Proven client management and business development skills Proven experience of managing/leading a team
