The Financial Advisory Clients & Industries (C&I) Origination team provides an opportunity to support the development and growth of Deloitte's Financial Advisory practice. It is an important step in the M&A lifecycle of helping our clients (private, strategic, etc.) identify and acquire viable market opportunities or exit existing investments with the support of Deloitte's extensive advisory experience and knowledge.

In your role as a Pipeline/Sector Lead, you are responsible for identifying M&A opportunities on the market in specific sector such as Consumer, Tech, Life Science & Healthcare, or Industrials. You will be updating these opportunities in our state-of-the-art tool, the “M&A Radar”, in which we maintain our M&A deal pipeline. You will be supporting the Origination team lead on planning and executing the go-to-market strategy for specific opportunities.

Who we are looking for:

• You successfully completed studies in Economics, Banking, Finance or Business Administration
• You have initial work experience of at least 1-2 years in the areas of Consulting, Audit, Accounting, Business Development, or Account Management
• You bring very good English skills (level C1, both written and spoken) and ideally C1 German language skills
• You have very good user knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• You have good analytical and conceptional skills
• You convince with your strong communication style
• You perform tasks independently and reliably and you convince through flexibility, commitment, and your open-minded, competent, and friendly manner

Your future role

In your role as a Pipeline/Sector Lead you will obtain knowledge and become an expert on the M&A opportunities in the DACH region for your sectors. Your role will include the following responsibilities:

• Identify and regular review potential M&A opportunities for our clients via various sources
• Review our databases to gather experts for identified M&A opportunities
• Evaluation of potential investors in the Private Equity market for these opportunities
• Support the Origination team lead with internal communication to our sector leaderships teams
• Support on the execution of our go-to-market strategy for specific M&A opportunities
