Job description

We are a small firm of Chartered Certified Accountants based in Palmers Green, looking for a payroll / practice administrator to manage the delivery of payroll services to the firm's varied client base.

Key responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Administration of small / medium-sized multiple client payrolls to include uploads to clients.
  • Registration of new payroll schemes and closure of schemes with HMRC.
  • Process new starters and leavers.
  • Calculate and record holiday entitlements.
  • Calculate and record SSP / SMP / SPP, redundancy pay.
  • Apply salary sacrifice.
  • Process HMRC tax code amendments prior to payroll processing.
  • Administer RTI submissions and process end of year P60's.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly CIS Returns.
  • Apply auto enrolment rules, process and upload submissions to pension providers NEST and Aviva.
  • Liaise with clients and HMRC on queries as they arise.
  • General administration and secretarial work to include taking calls from clients, typing letters, database updates, filing, dealing with HMRC and Companies House.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Previous experience with Moneysoft Payroll Manager or equivalent payroll software.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of payroll legislation.
  • Organise own work and multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to show initiative.

Job Types: Full time, Part time

Part-time hours: 25 per week
