About the role:

As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible to providean efficient and qualitative service to a portfolio of assigned clients in our International Pensions team. You will work in accordance with Maltese Accounting and Tax legislation, as well as in compliance with all internal procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing client's accounts
• Recording clients' portfolio transactions, cash transaction; investment movements; raising and payment of trustee fees; calculated accruals; processing prepayments; calculating gains/losses on fair value movements, disposals and foreign exchange
• Review clients' accounts prepared by junior accountants
• Ensure payments effected by investment banks are in line with the Trustee's instructions
• Issue invoices and prepare payment instructions
• Liaise with the investment banks for any investment documentation or clarification on trades and other transaction
• Drafting schemes management accounts
• Assist Accounts Manager assess fair value of the investments and gathering any other information required for preparation of the notes to the schemes financial statements
• Liaising with the Maltese and internal auditors

About you

Ideally, you are meeting following hiring criteria:

• 3 years of experience in accounting
• Qualified accountant or within one year of completing ACCA
• Good knowledge of Financial Assets and Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good personal and professional organizational skills
• Ability to work within a team and communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Self-motivated with a structured and determined approach to work
