You will:

  • Perform validation, calculation and reconciliation tasks of our distribution fee expenses for various domestic and international products
  • Maintain and review global accounting functions including accrual preparation, month end closing, BS and PnL reconciliation with actual and forecast variance analysis
  • Establish and actively manage relationships with our partners in fund administration, client services, sales and legal on client related efforts
  • Proactively evaluate our control environment and drive improvement projects focusing on risk mitigation
  • Provide assistance with periodic financial audits of MSIM legal entities

Team Profile: The Investment Management team within the Finance department is responsible for expense and receivable management reporting, non-financial data reporting and providing valuable insight to Business Unit management to support their strategic decision making.

Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with at least two years of work experience
  • Solid technical and analytical skills with high attention to details
  • Confident use of MS Office especially Excel (VBA or SQL knowledge not required but an advantage)
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and in team environments
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage various deadlines and downstream dependencies
  • Fluency in English
