About the Team
The team will be an immediate team of 3 sitting with the Business Wholesale Commercial Finance Team of 9 reporting into the Commercial Finance Director and will act as a Finance Manager within the commercial function.
The immediate team will oversee the reporting, performance analysis, preparation of board packs & support the transition from offline reporting to system-based reporting. The team will also own the planning and forecasting model and the presentation materials we use to 'tell the story' to our stakeholders.
The team provides an interface into the Wholesale Commercial Team and will provide significant growth opportunities for team members at all levels.
About The Role
As a member of the Finance Team, in your role as Commercial Finance Manager, you will support the Commercial finance function by acting as the finance lead on the reporting and analysis of two newly formed Business units within wholesale services market.
You will work closely with your Finance & Commercial stakeholders and the wider Finance function to ensure the financial results are understood, analysed, and shared across the organisation.
You will own the reporting, analysis & presentation of the financial results monthly. Alongside reporting, you will also support with the development of a consolidated forecasting model (and related reporting packs) in order that the business unit benefits from an end to end planning and reporting model.

- Leading on the financial reporting activities for Business Wholesale, including the Monthly Board Pack, monitoring KPIs and presenting the monthly and quarterly financial reports for two newly formed business units
- Develop & maintain an offline financial model for reporting and analyse to support company performance.
- Support development of consolidated planning and forecasting model for the business unit, and standardised packs to support each budget/forecast
- Develop & continually improve knowledge of the business unit forecasts, working closely with other finance business partners to interpret the financial results.
- Review and understand the commercial KPI's to ensure performance remain in line with the guiderails set by the commercial strategy
- Responsible for developing great relationships with different functional areas, most notably: Group Finance, FP&A, Commercial & Business Planning
- Support other team members on certain projects such as being a commercial finance representative on a wider finance new ERP implementation
Must have
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint modelling/reporting experience
- Experience of process improvement.
- Ability to communicate with impact, facilitate meetings and present to all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: influence, collaboration, stakeholder management and resilience.
- Demonstrable ownership and attention to detail.
- Innovative & strategic thinker with ability to translate big picture into action in a dynamic environment.
- Financial qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
- Commercially astute with proven experience of strategy development.
- Solid market / industry / regulatory knowledge.
- Knowledge of PowerQuery, PowerPivot & PowerBI
