Mixed Tax Senior

This is a newly created role where the successful candidate will be working closely with the business owners, senior staff, managers from our regional offices. It is essential that candidates can work effectively in a client-facing, managerial role.

The work will be varied in nature with an emphasis on tax advisory issues. The work will include IHT, CGT, trusts, shareholder issues, corporate tax, business re-structuring, business development and team management responsibilities.

Duties include:

• Building relationships and interacting with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns and working on ad-hoc tax assignments for the partners
• Representing the practice by attending network functions & events
• Ensuring that all internal and client based, and legislative deadlines are met
• You would be expected to contribute to tax advisory projects
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the firm's standard processes are used in the production of compliance tax work and ensuring that technical standards are maintained
• You may be required to take part in the recruitment and selection of team members
• You will be expected to seek opportunities to increase client billings and to seek new clients for the practice where possible
• You will keep up to date with internal communications, policies and procedures and ensure anyone reporting to you does the same

The Ideal Candidate:

• Substantial experience in tax, in an accountancy firm.
• CTA qualified or in the final stages of the CTA qualification preferred;
• Creates a culture of continuous improvement; encouraging others to have ideas and come up with imaginative solutions to difficult problems.
• Is comfortable interacting with employees, clients, potential clients and connectors on all levels with the ability to change your communication style to suit to occasion.

Qualifications:

CTA qualified or in the final stages of the CTA qualification (preferred)
