We are a family run property company with a focus on property investment, management and development. We are looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusiastic management accountant to process and maintain our financial records. These include: purchases, sales, receipts and payments, in addition to performing financial analysis.

Job duties include working closely with our accountants to create and analyse financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified and be familiar with the accounting software packages Sage Line 50 and Quickbooks.

Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions from invoices, bank and managing agent statements
  • Enter data, maintain records and financial statements
  • Bring the books to the trial balance stage for statutory accounts purposes
  • Monthly reconciliations of client accounts
  • Compile timely management accounts on a quarterly basis and produce a report for the Directors
  • Complete and submit quarterly VAT returns where appropriate
  • Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Reconcile intercompany balances
  • Produce reports and collate supporting documents for end of year accounts information for accountants.
  • Administration duties as required by an office manager
  • Reconcile and maintain a fixed asset register and post quarterly depreciation charges
  • Maintain an ongoing cash flow forecast

Requirements

  • Accounting experience in the property industry
  • Ability to manage both the accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Data entry skills
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accountancy software (e.g. Sage, Quickbooks, excel)
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Good organisation skills with high attention to detail
  • ACCA qualification
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Part-time: Monday to Wednesday 9.00am to 5.00pm (or a flexible 24 hours a week).

 

Salary: £30,000 pa

 

Location: Central London/Zone 1
