This Payroll Manager role sits within a fast paced and dynamic finance team for a national car park operator. It offers a competitive salary and is based in the City of London.

My client is a market leader in car park operations on a national platform.

Description

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and develop a small team of payroll coordinators, ensuring all payments are processed correctly and in line with internal policies
  • Developing and fostering excellent working relationships both with the Management Team and with ADP (payroll provider)
  • To be the main point of contact for payroll queries and resolving accordingly
  • Responding to authorised requests for information from private Company's as instructed by the employee (For example Mortgage lenders)
  • Processing all weekly, monthly and annual reporting for the business, as well as providing ad-hoc reports as and when required
  • Responsible for providing all year end HMRC documentation (i.e. P11d, P60's etc.)
  • Provide statistical information for Office for National Statistics (ONS) - Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE) 2017, monthly wage and salary survey
  • Keeping a log of payroll queries and issues raised and present for discussion at regular review meetings with ADP
  • To act as an expertise of the ADP payroll system and have a full understanding of how data is held on the system and the reporting capabilities. Ensuring key statistical data is up to date and always available
  • Manage new starters, leavers and amendments, to ensure cost codes and cost centres are correct to minimise any P&L errors
  • Own and manage year end annual salary increases and bonus payments, where applicable; providing base data worksheet and gathering inputs from all different business units

Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Must have at a good solid experience in dealing with ADP Freedom
  • Accurate and timely reporting with a good attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and has the ability to manipulate and interrogate data
  • Has the ability to navigate Windows packages to a reasonable standard
  • Has the ability to navigate and manipulate payroll systems
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with strong internal customer-orientation always displaying a positive and supportive 'can do' attitude
  • Has the ability to multi-task in a pressurised environment
  • Has the ability to understand payroll issues in a business context
  • Creative thinking to help resolve problems
  • Solid experience working within a payroll environment for monthly and hourly employed staff
  • Strong experience in statistics
