This role will business partner, focusing on value creation and collectively strengthening the performance of the Nectar360 business unit. The job holder will provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders , aiming to drive decisions and actions that improve cost or sales performance. The job holder will work cross functionally with N360 stakeholders, providing support and challenge.

What you need to do
  • Lead on OPEX and Central costs, working closely with non-finance and finance stakeholders to manage and challenge performance
  • Support the N360 Accounting team by providing insight to periodic performance, following business partner conversations
  • Identify risks and opportunities and flag these to business partners or Finance Managers for prioritisation
  • Interpret management reporting to provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders and provide challenge to the business
  • Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis for the business area as required to drive improvements, support projects or investigation into future business opportunities
  • In line with timeline and process set by FP&A, work with the business to support Forecasting, LV, Centrals, Budgeting & Q2F
  • Support Finance Manager on N360 business cases, post implementation reviews and ad hoc Loyalty projects
  • Continued support for N360 simplification, looking for opportunities to simplify and streamline ways of working
What you need to know and show
  • Success in this role will mean supporting the business in making decisions that enhance performance (improvements in Revenue, Income, ROI, profit and cost management or other agreed KPIs)
  • Strong eye for detail and ability to prioritise
  • Effective communicator with senior stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
  • Experience of maintaining strong financial controls
  • Committed to driving change
  • As part of our ongoing ways of working, occasional travel to Sainsbury's sites may be required
What decisions I can make

Application of Finance principles, guiding our non-Finance business partners on the proper application and impact.

Making recommendations to senior stakeholders based on analysis and understanding of the area for business cases and throughout the forecasting processes.
