As a Private Client Tax Director, the successful candidate for this role will have a track record in delivering compliance work, perhaps as a senior manager, and now looking to increase their responsibility to ensure delivery of work across a number of offices. In addition, the individual will have the technical skills to deliver first class advisory work and to oversee the work of more junior staff who are keen to develop their advisory skills.

We are a strong team of Private Client specialists across the various offices in Scotland who deliver compliance work for our clients, as well as offering advisory work with a particular focus on succession planning. You would be joining as a key member of this team with a clear plan to progress to Partner in the future.

You will support the Tax Partners closely and will provide coaching and leadership to our Private Client team. As part of your own development, you will establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.

As a Director, Previous Private Client Tax experience in a similar role within a practice environment isdesired. We are looking for someone with a strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation. In terms of qualifications we would ideally be looking at CTA and possibly ACCA/CA or equivalent.

Working closely with the Private Client Partner, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of personal tax return compliance work across Scotland, ensuring the correct resources are in place in the offices, that work can be shared, and that processes and procedures are fit for purpose. In addition, the candidate will have the ability to successfully undertake advisory projects, either personally or overseeing the work for more junior members of staff. "
