Who we are looking for

BPS senior accountant fulfils an integral transactional and reporting function in Deloitte’s Business Process Solutions (“BPS”). This role touches all aspects of finance function including tax compliance, documentation of process improvements and other special projects as needed. This position will report to the BPS Manager / BPS Senior Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or comparable, with 3 years, or more, experience in a similar accounting-related role.
  • Prior tax compliance-related experience and regional indirect tax-related exposure.
  • Regional payroll experience preferred.
  • Some experience with ERP systems in the past – MS Navision / SAP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles including National and International Accounting Standards.
  • Self-starter, organized, attention to detail, deadline oriented, hands-on.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment on several projects.
  • MS Office experience required including extensive Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Your future role

Responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining the general ledger accounts by monitoring journal entry preparation; preparing monthly accruals and entries and reconciling accounts monthly.
  • Preparing (complex) statutory annual accounts, consolidations and periodic reports.
  • Reviewing the accuracy of the general ledger and preparation of all tax returns (VAT, income tax, WHT, etc.).
  • Conversion of annual financial statements to local or international reporting standards (e.g., Albanian GAAP and US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Handling payroll matters, familiar with local and regional legislations.
  • Guaranteeing a high standard of delivery.
  • Advising on (inter)national compliance and reporting.
  • Directly interacting and communicating with the client.
  • Be Seconded to client offices to assist in finance/treasury function, when necessary.
