Job Timings: USA Eastern Standard Time (Pakistan Time 5pm to 2am) - 5 working days weekly
Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A provides financial analysis, modeling and planning & forecasting for the Senior Management team and Board of Directors. This position will analyze, communicate, identify and advise management on the key metrics and drivers of the business. This position will also create ad-hoc financial models and schedules sourcing data from multiple systems, support the financial planning activities and provide clear understanding and insight for all planning activities including strategic plan, budget and forecasts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
Report performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
Support the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan and modeling tools
Produce daily, weekly, quarterly and monthly financial reports as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Assist in implementing and working with a Business Intelligence tool and dashboard reports
Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies
Support financial models and analyze to support strategic initiatives
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
Support Senior Management team and department heads with in-depth analysis
Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management team
Implement special projects as required
Analyze OPEX variances vs. plan and provide insight to stakeholders
Report on actual vs. targeted financials, provide variance analysis and prepare trend analysis
Perform meticulous analyses on large, sophisticated data sets and provide strategic insights and conclusions based upon findings
Build automated operational models, conduct ad-hoc analysis, and make recommendations to management
Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders to analyze information needs and requirements and effectively deliver dashboards, visualizations and ad-hoc reports
Perform financial modeling as assigned.
Participate as needed with overall PMO support activities which may include planning, scoping, analysis, presentation, and coordinating financial reporting.
Maintain full compliance with financial controls and SOX reporting requirements
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of internal clients.
May also be responsible for conducting technical accounting research as needed.
Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
Updates and collects business unit reporting packages helps prepare ad hoc financial reporting as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with SAP is preferred including ERP, BPC/EPM tool, BO business intelligence analysis tool
Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills
Experience evaluating performance trends
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive data and multi-task so that deadlines can be met
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with diverse groups
Proven history of time management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and comfortable working with ambiguity at times
Strong problem-solving, collaboration and entrepreneurial instincts
Data modeling experience.
Proficiency in SQL (preferred)
PowerBI Dashboard user who can create and maintain PowerBI dashboard
Education
CFA / CA / ACCA /ACMA/ MBA (IBA/LUMS/Foreign University)
Experience
3-6 years of experience in corporate finance or FP & A, preferably in a multinational corporation
