FINANCE MANAGER (SUDAN)

Job Description

Job Purpose:
Candidate to be able to manage the accounting functions of the company and safe keeping of the accounting records.
He / She should be able to execute the following duties & responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To independently manage all financial activities of company's finance department.
• To prepare monthly and yearly financial reports (such as Income statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.,), independently and within the time targets.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, processes and standards of the group.
• To be able to operate, maintain and safe keep a suitable database (accounting software), when implemented.
• To ensure that the accounts and accounting records including GL / Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable and all other ledgers / sub ledgers are well kept, up to date and reconciled.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• To safeguard the Company's financial resources (including cash and bank balances).
• Co-ordination with both Internal & External auditors.
• To liaise with Government authorities regarding Taxes and other Government Dues and file monthly, yearly returns with the Government.
• To check and authorize all payments.
• To ensure all Company's properties are insured with an insurance company.
• To be able to prepare budgets as and when requested.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. A Commerce Graduate from a reputed University.
2. 5 years supervisory experience in the areas of financial accounting, financial management and financial reporting of a medium size company.
3. Ability to meet reporting time targets.
4. Good Analytical and Interpretative Skills.
5. Excellent Computer Skills with having worked in Spreadsheets and accounting packages.
6. Good Oral and Written Communication (in English) and interpersonal skills.
