Our confidential client is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant VAT Manager to join their dynamic finance team in Cambridge. As an Assistant VAT Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the VAT Manager in all aspects of VAT compliance and reporting for the organisation.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and Intrastat reports
• Ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and guidelines
• Supporting the VAT Manager with VAT advisory work for the business
• Working with cross-functional teams to resolve VAT-related issues
• Assisting with VAT audits and providing support to external auditors
• Maintaining accurate VAT records and documentation
• Keeping up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and providing guidance to the business as required

Profile

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as ATT or CTA
• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and guidelines
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a VAT compliance role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
