Senior Finance Business Partner - Securities & CaLM

An exciting Senior FBP opportunity has arisen in Finance, reporting to the LCH Group CFO, supporting the Equities, Fixed Income and Collateral & Liquidity Business Lines within the Post Trade Division.

The Post Trade Division, one of the three LSEG business divisions and a significant player in Global financial markets, has 2022 income of £991m. The division contains four core businesses, LCH Ltd (world's largest clearing house and largest counterparty to most global banks), LCH SA (national French clearing house and a credit institution); UnaVista (pan European regulatory reporting service) and most recently Post Trade Solutions, comprising nascent businesses Quantile, SwapAgent and Acadia.

The business provides systemically critical services to the market, is globally relevant and is highly regulated by several regulators including the Bank of England, Banque De France and CFTC . The division provides a range of clearing and bilateral services as well as financial resource optimisation and reporting solutions to support customers' risk and balance sheet management, regulatory reporting, and capital efficiency.

This role requires a talented and experienced finance business partner who can work closely with the LCH Group CFO, its leadership team, and the Heads of the Businesses .

This role is will be based in London, LSEG 10 Paternoster Square and is Hybrid.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strong business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value
  • Capable of collecting, assimilating and synthesizing relevant business/operating information and data to develop fact based recommendations and support business decision making
  • Excellent communication skills, able to deal with different stakeholders
  • Producing ad-hoc analysis to meet evolving business requirements
  • Managing the provision of standardised management information including all aspects of business planning, forecasting, financial reporting and supporting financial control
  • Timely preparation and interpretation of management accounts, business plans and forecasts related to the business area, recommending actions based on appropriate analysis and financial appraisal
  • Support Team Culture and DE&I activities and initiatives
  • Establish a relationship and ongoing dialogue with business management teams, maintain and develop strong working relationships within finance, the business and across other corporate functions
  • Provide financial challenge, support and insights to senior management
  • Develop business cases and financial returns analysis to support the development of our international business and other change initiatives
  • Preparation of Board Packs
  • Planning and Co-ordinating the budget cycle for LCH Ltd
  • Annual Stress Testing and Reverse Stress Testing
  • Annual Wind-down Assessment of LCH Ltd
Qualifications
  • ACA, CIMA, MBA or other similar accounting qualification
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate understanding of the business context
Skills
  • Experience in previous Decision Support, FP&A or Business Partnering Role is desirable
  • Implements and enforces high standards for quality deliverables
  • Providing financial information to facilitate decisions on a wide scope of operational and strategic matters
  • Monitoring financial performance and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation
  • Thrives in a matrixed environment and can navigate ambiguity
  • Leadership and development of the broader Finance Team including working closed with our colleagues in various locations globally
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and project managements abilities
